An invitation…to audition for the Heartland Community Chorus! 
Please consider joining us for our eleventh season!

Heartland Community Chorus is a performing ensemble for singers in the greater Highland area. Our current members hail from Highland, Troy, St. Rose, Trenton, Glen Carbon, Pocahontas, Maryville, Breese, Marine, St. Jacob, and Edwardsville. We would love to add some more towns to the list! The chorus is directed by Luanne Murphy.

Who may join? 
Singers over the age of sixteen are welcome! We are needing singers in each section.

What shall I sing for the audition?

Sing a hymn, art song, patriotic song, or Broadway song. Please bring two copies of the music, or one, if you have your piece memorized. You will also be asked to sing some 5-note scales and match some pitch patterns. We will have copies of a few songs at the audition for your use (“Amazing Grace,” “America”).

When are rehearsals?
Rehearsals will be on Monday nights from 6:30-8:30p.m. at St. Paul Church, 1412 Main Street, Highland, IL, 62249.
